The purpose of the gap certificate for NEET droppers is to justify the educational gap and persuade the authorities that the candidate’s hiatus was justified and not an attempt to falsify their academic record.
Is a gap certificate needed for NEET?
Yes, a gap certificate is a prerequisite for NEET. If a candidate has taken a break subsequent to successfully completing his/her class 12 examination, he/she will have to furnish a gap certificate during the NEET counselling if required by the authority.Â
How to get a gap certificate for NEET?
Gap certificate for NEET cannot be made in online mode. Candidates need to prepare a gap affidavit form in offline mode and get it approved by a relevant Gazette Officer.
Is a gap certificate necessary for NEET repeaters? If yes, and why?
Gap certificate is generally required for droppers, It’s needed to make sure that you did not take any Admission in any other course , or get involved in any criminal or law breaking activity during that period and if you have joined any college without taking any break then you have to submit migration certificate and leaving certificate from the concerned university during the time of admission instead of gap certificate.
